Legal dialogue
Legal dialogue can enhance the rule of law, and open the door for everyone to be able to use the law as a tool for solving conflicts in society.
Legal dialogue is cooperative, respectful and international dialogue concerning the law and the role of the law in society.
Legal dialogue requires mutual understanding of different legal systems and legal cultures.
It is a goal of Rechtsstandort Hamburg e.V. to promote international legal dialogue, one of the tasks which it undertakes in partnership with, among others, the Hamburg Bar Association, the Hamburg Chamber of Notaries, the Hamburg Society of Lawyers, the Hamburg Society of Judges, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, represented by the Department for Justice, as well as the Max Planck Institute for comparative and international Private Law, the Bucerius Law School and the Law Faculty of the University of Hamburg.
Rechtsstandort Hamburg e.V. operates the legal dialogue portal Hamburg diaLAWgue, with the aim of serving closely the interests of its partner organisations and the city. Anyone who wishes to offer us suggestions or potential projects – including with regards to the further development of this website – is warmly invited to get in touch with Rechtsstandort Hamburg e.V.
